When you do decide to take that first step, let’s give you a heads up on a few things so you don’t feel completely lost. Check out the directions, service times, parking and other information below. But don’t stop there! The more you know, the more at home you’ll feel at Canton First. So, browse away and if you have questions, call the office at 770-479-2502.
DIRECTIONS
PARKING
Parking is pretty easy. There is one entrance to the church and it will wind you up “Holy Hill” to our parking lots. We have alot to your left, right and behind the church. There are plenty of handicap spaces around the church as well. Most of all be patient. If the lots is full, the attendants will show you to our overflow lot and a shuttle will bring you up to worship.
SERVICE TIMES
8:30 TRADITIONAL: This is a wonderful service that incorporates a piano, liturgy, prayer, and an inspiring message. It is held in the chapel. Come through the front doors and come straight ahead and you cannot miss it.
9:30 CONTEMPORARY: This service simply rocks. We enjoy an electric worship experience here with a full plugged in band. We dress casually, but our hearts are fully engaged as we glorify our risen Lord. So be prepared to be inspired and join us. We meet in the Fellowship Hall.
11:00 TRADITIONAL: This service meets in the large sanctuary and we enjoy a full choir, piano, and organ. Come early and get a seat and get comfortable, but get ready to buckle up because we love praising God. See you there!
WHAT DO I WEAR? WHAT DO I BRING?
Come as you are! Some dress up…some dress down. At Canton we just don’t care. What we care about is that you come to be with your Lord that loves you. If you want, bring your Bible. We have plenty in the pews and the scriptures are put on the screens for your easy viewing.
NURSERY
If you have little ones, our nursery is the place for you. We are blessed with a great staff that loves kids. The nursery is found on the ground floor. We have two age groups that make our Nursery: WALKERS (those that can walk) and CRIBS (those that cannot walk). When you come to our nursery, you will find a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere and we are honored to be in ministry to them while you are in worship…they are in great hands!
CHILDREN
Canton First has excellent Sunday School classes beginning at 9:45 a.m. Greeters at every entrance will assist you in getting your children to classes and departments. During worship, your children may sit with you for all or part of the service. Safe, loving childcare is provided for children ages birth to 2 years old. About ten minutes into the 11:00 a.m. service, we have a Children’s moment. After the Children’s moment, children ages 3 to 6th grade go to Children’s Church. After worship, children can be picked up from the nursery or from the Children’s Church room.
ADULTS
No, we didn’t forget about you. When you arrive and get your kids settled or even if you don’t have kids, we have great SMALL GROUPS that meet at 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. Greeters will be happy to help you find one.
